Southern Love for Christmas
Published in Hardcover by Pelican Pub Co (September, 1993)
Average review score:

A wonderful Christmas story for children.I have read this story to my daughter every Christmas since we first got it. We both love it! It focuses on the real meaning of Christmas as a time for family and love rather than all the fancy, expensive presents we see so much today. When we talk about the story we are able to see how the love in our own family is what makes Christmas special.

Spam Cans, Rice Balls and Pearls
Published in Paperback by Turnkey Press (December, 2002)
Average review score:

Present for my grandfatherI bought this book for my grandfather, who was also in the Pacific, during WWII and he loved it. He said he could relate to alot of the humourous and serious anecdotes the author shared. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good gift for their grandparents, or anyone interested in learning more about their wartime experience.

Sports Great Jerry Rice (Sports Great Books)
Published in Library Binding by Enslow Publishers, Inc. (September, 1993)
Average review score:

Travis Ford's Favorite Sports PeopleIt is about a football player who beats many records in the NFL. He beat some of the toughest NFL records ever. Many people are surprised by his awesome talent he had while he had while he was in the NFL. The NFL team he played for the whole time was the San Fransisco 49ers. Him and his friend Joe Montana were one of the best packages in the NFL. If I were to read any book I would read this one. This is one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Sportswriter: The Life and Times of Grantland Rice
Published in Hardcover by American Philological Association (November, 1993)
Average review score:

Great Sports HistoryUnder an ink laden sky filled with the whites of...I read this classic. For true sports fans and fans of sports history, this is a must read. A bit fluffy, but incredibally nostalgic reading. Makes one wish they were there to read his work on an every day basis. Where is the poetry and visual writing in the columns of today? With no TV and early radio, Rice helped romantisize sports in it's heyday. No wonder they were such myths/legends.

Spring Break (Keepsake, No 30)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (August, 1988)
Average review score:

THIS BOOK HAS EVERYTHING!A wonderful blend of mystery, romance, history, and humor. I am sorry that the book is out of print. Although the book's cover gives the impression that SPRING BREAK is a romance novel aimed at the young-adult female audience, this book, like all Ms. Rice's books, can be enjoyed by young readers (male and female) as well as older readers.
Be sure to read Bebe Faas Rice's other fine novels, which include THE YEAR THE WOLVES CAME, THE LISTENERS, AND MUSIC FROM THE DEAD.

Steps Along the Healing Path
Published in Paperback by iUniverse.com (December, 2000)
Average review score:

Did not to put it down. When I first picked up this book I did not know what to think. I started reading, and after a couple pages It went into stories of other people and how Eric had helped them in times of need. THAT got me interested. I was never into meditation or anything like that, but after reading this book I found myself wanting to get into it. Eric Rice writes personal details about his own life in this book and it really helps you understand more about what he's tring to get across. He does not stay on a topic for to long so it stays very interesting. I would suggest this book to anybody. Especially anyone who's having a rough time with anything and do not know where to turn. This book WILL help you. If you have problems with your body(back pain for instance) that your looking for any way to get rid of. Then read this book it will give you another option the surgery. It is worth a try. I started for my back pain and it works. It saves a ton on doctor bills. What have you got to loose. It's easy reading, and a small book.

Strategies in Teaching Anthropology
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall (27 August, 1999)
Average review score:

Tools for Participatory EducationI work in various communities delivering community-based anthropology courses in a very short period of time from one week to a month. The activities and teaching strategies offered in this book are very practical and respond to a change in the field of education. The activities described in the book are easy to prepare and implement (and are fun to do). Most of the authors describe various in-class problems with which they were trying to address. Some authors also provide ideas to modify the activities according to the side of the class or the availability of resources. If you want to go beyond the straight lecture style of teaching this book certainly provides many ideas for creative teaching to stimulate consciousness-raising and encourage student participation. Two activities that stand out are "The Penny Game: An Exercise in Non-Industrial Economics" which examined the importance of reciprocity, and "The Trouble with the 'Race' Concept: It's All in the Cards" which enacts the problems in trying to classify "races". Other essays provide very practical strategies for preparing students for critical thinking, writing essays, critiquing films, participating in field visits to museums, and doing field research (excavating and interviews).
